Adventures downtown

Today it was so clear that you could see Mt. Rainier.

So we crossed Lake Washington...

...to visit Seattle Center and the downtown area.

Yes, Seattle Center is the place where the Space Needle is.

It's also a fun place to goof off. Miss V, the Flat Love Magnet, and Miss V's friend Miss M enjoyed a little silliness today.

Well well well! A carousel! This calls for further investigation.

The carousel horses were beautiful, don't you think?

Miss V and Miss M decided they should ride the carousel with the Flat Love Magnet... so they did.

I think they had fun.

We also decided to ride the monorail down to Westlake Center.

One of the great things about the monorail is that flat friends ride free...

...as long as non-flat friends ride with them.

We took quite a few pictures of the downtown from the inside of the monorail.

We passed some tall buildings...

...and some cylindrical buildings...

...until we reached Westlake Center.

Remember, if you ever get lost in Seattle's downtown, the manhole covers have maps of the city on them. It's very useful.

Near Westlake Center there was a waterfall you could walk right through!

So I walked right in there with the Flat Love Magnet. Yes, we got wet.

I took this picture right in the middle of the street (don't worry, we were crossing in the crosswalk). That round thing above the street is part of the Convention Center. Isn't it pretty?

But as the moon rose high in the sky, it was time for us to go home. We had a great day!
