Our town is sometimes called The Bicycle Capital of the Northwest.
(Really.)
So today I thought the Flat Love Magnet and I would go to Gerk's. No, despite what it sounds like, "Gerk" is not the noise you make when you choke on a pickle. Instead, it is the name of a company that sells bicycles and ski stuff. I needed to pick up some items from Gerk's, so away we went.
Behold! The mighty two-storey storefront of Gerk's! (And it's open, too.)
We went inside to take a look at all their goodies. There sure were a lot of things to look at.
There were many very cool bikes here... though the Flat Love Magnet is NOT demonstrating proper safety techniques for riding a bike. I think she also needs a helmet, don't you?
Looks like she's ready to go skiing, though. These boots are just about her size!
And there were lots of fancy skis (as well as snowboards and other snow equipment).
Later in the year, our town is hosting a special race where people will ride their bicycles and raise money to help cure a type of disease called diabetes. The Flat Love Magnet thought this was a great idea.
The people at Gerk's were very helpful and didn't have any problem with us taking pictures for this blog (of course we were polite and asked first). Thanks, Gerk's guys!
I wonder where we'll go tomorrow. Hmmmmmm. Guess there's only one way to find out.
